Exhibition graphics have been one of our largest markets for most of our time in business (27 years this year!) and that has been reflected in the investment we have made in our large format print equipment and machinery.
However, being a trade supplier to the exhibition industry, whether its to organisers, standbuilders or anyone else, often means we can’t share the amazing work we produce due to confidentiality agreements! That isn’t the case on this occasion though. One of our amazing exhibition clients has allowed us to share some photos and details of the graphics we produced for one of their recent shows.
This project involved over 350 linear metres of printed tension frame fabrics. All produced in-house including silicone edging. The fabric was printed on our 3.2m wide dye sublimation AGFA printer, it was then digitally cut to size with absolute precision on our Zund G3 3XL before heading over to our sewing department where the silicone edging was applied.
The largest tension fabric walls spanned a huge 33m in a single piece which was certainly a challenge for the sewing department but the result looked fantastic.
One of the major advantages of using dye sublimation print for large fabrics like this is that they can be packed down for easy and efficient transportation without risking damage to the print. This means that with larger volumes, transportation becomes much more efficient than with UV print which often takes up more space when packed. Dye sublimation also makes use of water based inks and polyester based materials which are 100% recyclable. In many cases we can also offer materials that have been produced using recycled material such as black back fabric and flag material that contains recycled ocean plastic!
This project also involved a large number of printed rigid boards. These were produced on our UV flatbed printer which has a maximum print area of 3m x 2.5m and benefits from an optional white ink channel. Finally, all vinyls were produced on our HP latex printer using eco-friendly, water based inks for a sustainable and high quality print finish.
This mixture of sustainable and energy efficient print processes, machinery and material choices allows us to offer the highest quality graphics with guilt free, eco friendly credentials!
We would love to be involved in your next project! If you are interested in coming to see our production facility and getting hands on with the material options that we have, we would be more than happy to arrange a factory tour!
